Winter Recreation
We offer a variety of amenities to support outdoor winter recreation as weather allows.
Ice Rinks
Weather permitting, we offer three ice rinks throughout the park system. Hours of operation are 10:00 am - 9:00 pm. Lights will be on for use until 9:00 pm each night.
We kindly ask that you cooperate in staying off the rinks if posted. This ensures the rink has the highest quality of ice for all to enjoy. To stay up to date with any rink condition postings or closures, please follow Sun Prairie Parks, Recreation and Forestry on Facebook or download the Statusfy app.

Get Involved - Become a Rink Ranger Volunteer!
Sun Prairie Parks, Recreation and Forestry is committed to providing high quality ice rink facilities, but due to the additional manual labor required combined with limited staffing resources, a community-supported volunteer program is critical to the success of these facilities.
The “Rink Rangers” Adopt-an-Ice Rink Volunteer Program relies on volunteers to assist the Parks, Recreation & Forestry Department with basic ice rink maintenance such as snow removal, flooding (trained volunteers only), general site cleanup, and other maintenance needs as identified.
For more information, see the Fun Prairie Rink Ranger Information Packet & Volunteer Manual
