Sun Prairie Code of Ordinance 8.16.010 and 8.16.020 explain in detail what is considered a firework and what isn't. To simplify things we will list the only items that are allowed under the ordinance.
Snaps, Caps, Snakes, Party Poppers, and Sparklers are the ONLY allowed items. Any other items are deemed by definition as fireworks and are not allowed to be sold or used in City limits.
New this year, is the requirement for businesses wishing to sell the above-listed items to obtain a permit through the City of Sun Prairie.
