What's Happening at the Museum This Winter
Though the museum displays are closed from January 3 through April 1 while we're busy preparing our 2013 exhibits, there is still a lot of activity happening at the museum and you can be a part of it!
Schedule an Appointment to Do Research
Research information on your local ancestors or the history of Sun Prairie and the surrounding areas. Please arrange research and archival appointments in advance at times agreeable to the researcher and the museum archivists. See below for museum contact information.
Volunteer at the museum
The museum needs many volunteers to complete research for the exhibits, prepare new exhibits, and help manage the collections. Students from eighth grade through high school and adults are welcome to become staff members of the museum. Volunteer hours can be set to meet your schedules. Come join the fun!
Donate Photographs & Artifacts
Winter is a great time to clean that closet or attic that you've been wanting to get to! If you have photographs or artifacts of families and businesses from Sun Prairie and surrounding areas, consider donating them to the museum for displays and preservation of our local history. To deliver your items, you can call us at 608-837-2915 to check if we're open or just check the door to see if staffers or volunteers are working that day. If no 1 is at the museum please deliver the items to the Municipal Building at 300 East Main Street.
You can explore the museum website or follow us on Facebook. See our flyer (PDF) for more information.
