The City of Sun Prairie Parks, Recreation and Forestry Commission invites you to a Public Open House for a presentation of the Parks and Open Space Final Draft Plan. The Final Draft Plan is the result of feedback from a community survey, user group interviews, ideas from public workshops, and comments from City staff to develop an understanding of the community's goals and priorities for our Parks and Recreation system. The Final Draft Plan will incorporate recommendations for new and expanded recreation programs, concept layout plans for new and improved park facilities, and maps of future bicycle and pedestrian trails.
Once the Final Draft Plan has been reviewed by the public, the revised Parks and Open Space Plan will be approved by the Parks, Recreation and Forestry Commission and recommended for adoption by the Plan Commission and City Council.
The Public Open House will be January 26, 6:00-8:00pm in the Large Meeting Room on the first floor of City Hall (300 E Main Street, Sun Prairie). Members of the City staff, Commission and consultants will be available to present the Final Draft Plan and answer questions, share thoughts and discuss the priorities of the Parks and Open Space Plan.
We hope you can attend the Open House to identify the needs of our community and shape the future of our Parks and Recreation programs and facilities.
