The Media Center Commission is composed of six (6) citizens appointed by the Mayor, subject to the approval of the City Council for a term of three years. The Commission selects a Chairperson each year.
Duties of the Media Center Commission
The Media Center Commission works with the staff of the Sun Prairie Media Center to provide guidance and advisement as to the daily operations of the community television and radio facilities housed at the Sun Prairie Media Center including promotion of the facilities, development of programming produced at its facilities, and budgeting and financial concerns and considerations to ensure the Media Center stays an active and vital resource for the city of Sun Prairie. The Commission is also charged with keeping the common council advised of the status of the community television and radio facilities housed at the Sun Prairie Media Center.

The Commission meets monthly at the discretion of the Commission Chairperson, which is normally scheduled for the 1st Wednesday of the Month at 7:30 a.m. at the Sun Prairie Media Center.
