Darreon is from St. Louis, MO. He has dedicated his life to serving youth since he was 17 years old. Darreon has over 13 years of experience in working with youth and teens in variety of different capacities. 

In 2022, Darreon moved into a Community Health Worker (CHW) role for the Navigator program and assists individuals experiencing hardships with navigating systems, getting resources, and breaking down barriers.

Darreon truly believes the youth are our future and that we should invest in the youth, providing them with the tools needed to pursue their dreams.

Barry Mahlum

After many years if moving around throughout the Chicago area, Barry arrived in Wisconsin. He met his wife of over 20 years and began a life in Sun Prairie. For the last five years, Barry has worked with the children living in The Element on Main Street apartment complex - it is is true passion. Being a role model and reliable, safe person is Barry's passion. Safety is his number one priority for our youth.

Growing up, Barry had many challenges and swore to himself that he would not leave any child unsafe. At the Element, he is known for being a reliable, safe adult and his home is a safe haven.

Additionally, Barry is known for bringing people together!

Vernard Johnson

Vernard was born in Illinois and raised in northern New York state. He eventually moved to Sun Prairie where he graduated in 2007 from Sun Prairie High School.

Vernard is a father of five children who all attend school in the Sun Prairie area. He has worked with youth for several years, developing a passion for mentoring youth through coaching sports. Over the years, his work has developed several successful youth mentoring programs in the Sun Prairie area.

In Vernard's words, "It is truly an honor to be part of the solution in our community and I look forward to strengthening relationships between youth to adulthood with positive interactions and long-term solutions."
