Come Listen to Our Stories
The encore presentation of Voices of Sun Prairie will be held 6:30 P.M. Thursday, May 30th at the Sun Prairie Cemetery. This is a living history event where costumed interpreters will be graveside to relate the stories of prominent citizens.
Parking for the event is at the Angell Park Pavilion located adjacent to the Cemetery. Individual tour groups will be formed at the Pavilion and led by members of Boy Scout Troop 333. Following the first grave site visitation, groups will continue a timed rotation throughout the cemetery to the remaining sites. The event should conclude by 8 P.M. For those wanting to sit, folding chairs are permitted, but be prepared to carry them between grave sites.
Voices was originally produced in August of 2012 by volunteers of the Sun Prairie Museum in cooperation with the City’s 175th Heritage Days Committee. The tour does require walking up a hill and on uneven ground. Special arrangements to park in the cemetery for easier accessibility to the event can be made by calling the museum at 608-837-2915.
